Biggie

Biggie is still respected as one of the most amazing rappers of all time and he is well represented in most rap memorials. He had a natural east-side swag that still resonates to this day in artists like Jay-Z even if they have toned it down since the nineties. If you have never listened to Biggie I would recommend starting with Notorious Thugs or Hypnotize.

Young Sam

Young Sam falls under the skater/hip hop/jerkers in LA. jerking is a dance that originated in LA and is still huge there today. But how the hell are you supposed to jerk to no music? Young Sam is the foundation for jerking music. His songs are used in the videos of some of the best jerking crews in the world, such as Ranger$, SBLA, UCLA jerk kings and many more. He may not be as lyrical and deep as some rappers but if you want to jerk, this is the guy you want to be listening to.

Eyedea and Abilities

Eyedea and Abilities are another dynamic duo from Rhymesayers Entertainment. They have touched the hearts and lives of many. Their newest album (and Eyedea's last because of his un-timely death) will be out later this year.

OFWGKTA

OFWGKTA,  the crazy rappers from L.A.  These rappers fall under the Skater/rapper category.  This group of guys are crazy and have no limits for dissing people,  they were saying how they wanted to stab Bruno Mars and stuff like that. One of the members Tyler the Creator ate a cockroach and threw it up in his  latest video Yonkers, however little do we know that they are very intelligent young dudes coming up in  the rap game.  Kanye West tweeted that Yonkers is the best video of 2011.  They have a few albums out for free, however their newest album Goblin will be on itunes for a few bucks.

Brother Ali

Brother Ali may be legally blind, but he has an eye for music. He has the type of songs that start revolutions (see: Uncle Sam, Goddamn). He has amazing flow and a voice to die for. He is also from the "Rhymesayers" label (same as Atmosphere) which seems to have endless amounts of talent lined up. I definitely recommend checking him out.

Atmosphere

Slug (bottom) is one of the best rappers in the world. He and his DJ Ant (shown above) are an amazing duo! Although Slug may have less flow than some rappers, he makes up for it with raw talent and passion. They are coming to my city and I cant wait to see them perform live!

Wax

Wax is just beginning to get the respect he deserves with the credit on RWJ's comedy rap "Orphan Tears". He is a great emcee who manages to find the perfect blend of comedy, skill, and a love of hip-hop. I hope to see this guy go as far as he can and get the rep he deserves for his funny and serious videos.
